A modest proposal

1807. Abigaille is the only child in her small Irish village. Growing up she never really questioned why, until now. She asks her mother why all the other children moved away. Her mother tells her, however, that they did not move away, and Abigaille learns the true story of what happened to the children of the village during the famine. Based on 'A Modest Proposal' by Jonathan Swift.

Directed by Jason Oshman, this short animated film takes a classic parody by famed Irish writer Jonathan Swift and conceptualizes it for the 21st century. The animation is fast and colorful and the voices really make the piece something special. A plot twist and a five minute running time keep the audience interested and provoke thought as well as laughter.
